Consultants for the EBRD project on "Strengthening Economic Opportunities and Gender Equality in Agriculture" held their first regional working meetings.

As part of the practical implementation of the EBRD project to strengthen economic opportunities and gender equality in agriculture, the stage of active field work and interaction with regional authorities has commenced.

On March 26 and 27, a group of consultants visited key project zones in the south of the country. During the working visit, substantive meetings were held with partners from:

• Jalal-Abad Regional Water Resources Administration;
• Nooken District Water Resources Administration;
• Osh Regional Water Resources Administration.

A significant part of the program included a site visit to the Aravan-Ak-Buura canal for a visual inspection of the infrastructure and an assessment of the current situation directly at the facility.

Furthermore, to coordinate actions and ensure broad coverage of project territories, the consultants held an online meeting with representatives of the Naryn Regional Water Resources Administration. The joint efforts are focused on the detailed planning of further steps for the modernization of hydraulic structures and the successful achievement of the project’s objectives.
