BT Innovations and Partners Launch Project to Improve Ecology in Bishkek

Bishkek, October 21, 2025 – The project "Reducing Carbon Emissions by Expanding the Use of Heat Pumps" was officially launched in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The key event of the launch was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the international company "Valor Carbon" and the project operator, "Clean Choice" LLC. Collaboration with 'Valor Carbon' ensures the expert sale of carbon certificates on the international voluntary market. This revenue stream supplements the main operating profit of "Clean Choice" LLC, which is generated from equipment leasing

The initiative is aimed at radically improving the environmental situation in Bishkek and the Chui region by replacing coal-based heating in private households. The project involves the implementation of modern heat pumps that utilize groundwater energy, which will significantly reduce harmful atmospheric emissions.

The project will be implemented by "Clean Choice" LLC. The company was founded by a consortium of three organizations: the Public Fund Microcredit Agency BT Innovations, the Public Fund Microcredit Agency "Agrocredit Plus," and "Zero Emissions" LLC.

To ensure broad public access to the technology, the project is introducing an innovative "Pay-As-You-Go" equipment lease model. This approach will allow households to transition to clean and efficient heating without significant initial capital investment.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the "Green Economy and Sustainable Private Sector Development" Program (GIZ), co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union, and the Government of Switzerland.
