Participation in a Familiarization Trip to Study ESG Practices and Sustainable Development in Almaty
Gulnara Nurbekovna, Chairman of the Board of the microcredit agency BT Innovations and a member of the Chamber of Independent Directors of Kyrgyzstan (CID KR) and Development Manager Nurzat Asylbekovna, participated in a familiarization trip to Almaty. The visit was organized by the CID KR to exchange best practices in corporate governance and the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
As part of the program, the delegation visited the Central Asian Institute for Ecological Research (CAIER) and the Shoqan Walikhanov School. The main purpose of the trip was to study the successful experience of implementing projects that combine sustainable development principles, ESG approaches, scientific research, educational initiatives, and key digital solutions.
The participants explored CAIER's innovative infrastructure, energy-efficient solutions, and developments in the circular economy. The delegation's visit culminated in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between CID KR and CAIER, aimed at the joint implementation of educational and expert projects.
Such initiatives allow for the integration of the best regional practices into our agency's operations, transforming ESG principles into a mandatory and effective component of the corporate governance system at BT Innovations.
