The Public Foundation MCA Financial Fund "BT Innovations" successfully conducted a two-day introductory seminar titled "ESG-Start," aimed at launching systematic work in the field of sustainable development and establishing the foundations of ESG management within the company.
Key Topics of the Seminar:
International and national sustainable development standards: Principles of GRI, IFRS S1/S2, SDGs, TCFD, and OECD;
The significance of ESG approaches for the financial sector: The role of management and the Board of Directors in ESG transformation, including strategic vision, oversight, and responsibility;
Analysis of current practices: An assessment of the Fund's existing environmental, social, and governance practices;
Materiality assessment: Identification of preliminary material ESG topics and key stakeholders;
Strategic planning: Formation of the primary ESG governance structure and key elements of the future ESG Transformation Roadmap.
Outcomes and Key Results: The "ESG-Start" introductory seminar aimed to foster a unified understanding of ESG management principles, goals, and mechanisms among employees and management. The event was attended by all employees of PF MCA Financial Fund "BT Innovations," as well as representatives from the subsidiary company, "BT Leasing" LLC.
Participants familiarized themselves with international and national sustainable development standards, studied the benefits of implementing ESG approaches, and gained an understanding of how to adapt the sustainable development system to the specifics of their organization. During the seminar, an analysis of the company's current Sustainability and ESG initiatives was conducted, priority directions for transformation were identified, and the foundation for the further development of the Roadmap was established.
